Eventful Weekend

>> Monday, October 27, 2008

We had a pretty eventful weekend. Dauge flew in from El Paso on Thursday evening and we both had to work on Friday. We drove down to Charleston (in the nasty, nasty weather) to visit his parents and go to a wedding shower for some really good friends of ours. We spent Saturday morning hanging around the house relaxing and watching TV.

We met up with some friends of ours at an irish pub in downtown North Charleston called Madra Rua. That place is gooooooood in every sense of the word. And one of the only places that you can get Woodchuck Amber on draught. It's so yummy! It was good catching up with Adam and Katie too before their big day coming up on Nov. 22. I haven't seen Adam since February - and that was only for an evening. He's been deployed in Afghanistan for the past 18 months. I know he's glad to be home!

The shower was a lot of fun. It was thrown for some of our best friends - who also happen to be our next door neighbors! We bought our houses together and we're all getting married in the same year. Lots of fun and lots of changes! We had a great time at the shower socializing with everyone and then we got back in the car and made the 3 hour trip back to Greenville. We would have stayed over but Dauge had to catch a noon flight to Los Angeles.
