Falling Behind...

>> Wednesday, September 2, 2009

Man, I have really slacked off on blogging, no?

I have pictures that I need to upload for the real appreciation of all the things I'd like to talk about...

So how about I give you a preview of what's to come:

1. Lake trip with the neighbors
2. Lake trip with the family
3. Grape Stompin' festival in Charleston
4. Completed craft projects
5. Kitchen design ideas
6. Master bath paint color survey
7. 101 in 1001 updates

So gear yourself up...because I'm going to try to get my butt into gear!

As for this week - tomorrow is the first football game of the season: USC vs. NC State. Some neighbors are having a tailgate in the street - so I am looking forward to that! We are going to be trying out some new recipes for the get together on Thursday - if they are a success then I will share those with you as well!

No motivation...

>> Tuesday, December 23, 2008

I have no motivation to be at work today. It's so quiet and no one else wants to be here either. I only have to make it to lunch tomorrow and I'm free to do whatever it is I want! (which does not include shopping or cleaning).

Speaking of motivation...it's been lacking on the exercise front this week too. I am working out with Elvis today - who I need to get a picture of because he may as well be a legend. I wanted to get in a workout with him before Christmas so I wouldn't be overtaken with guilt when we roll out the table cloth for Christmas dinner. Yum!

My parents and brother are coming to the Breaux house this year for Christmas. We decided we just couldn't travel this year since our close friends, Mark and Jean, are getting married two days after Christmas. Hectic? I think so. So we're hosting. And I'm excited. Excited for two reasons: 1. we don't have to go anywhere. Yes! 2. I am going to learn how to cook a turkey and make a big meal. Awesome!

As a side effect (if you would call it that) our house has gone a major overhaul in the sense that we have finally gotten most of the living spaces liveable and clean. That's a pretty big deal for us since we've been in the house for 6 months. We moved all of our boxes to one room and we will work out of that room to unpack those boxes. It'll help us feel less overwhelmed by there being crap in every single corner of the house.

And to wrap it up here are some stats for the week...
Start weight: 157 lb
This week: 155.6 lb (-1.4) Yeah! Let's keep it up!

Typically I weigh myself on Mondays. But yesterday morning the bathroom was so cold, all I wanted to do was get dressed in a hurry!

Total Slacker

>> Monday, October 6, 2008

So, as my loving husband pointed out this weekend, it's been almost a month since I last posted. Which was forever ago in all honesty. I keep meaning to post - but then I haven't taken the pictures and uploaded them to post them. It's really a viscious cycle.

So a quick update since I last posted...

The weekend after I last posted Daugenet and I attended a wedding that was part Korean and part traditional. Very interesting and the wedding was beautiful. Unfortunately it was ridiculously hot outside...to the point where Dauge had sweat marks all over his dress shirt. We decided to leave after the Korean ceremony and before the reception. Which I had to agree with because it was so hot that I felt like I had blown up like a balloon sitting in the hot sun!

I spent the next week in Kingsport, TN for work. The week following that I had meeting after meeting after meething (and therefore totally exhausted when I got home), and last week things have ligthened up a bit.

We are almost done staining our kitchen table - which is excited becuase I'm really ready to have a kitchen table to eat at. Mainly because I enjoy watching Jeopardy! while we eat...even if I am terrible at it. :-) I will post pictures of that soon so that everyone can see our hard work!

The ladies in the neighborhood had a scrapbooking get together this past weekend - and I thought I was in heaven! haha. I haven't really had the time or the energy to scrapbook, but I mustered some up for Saturday night. I haven't even picked out all the pictures for my wedding album from the photographer. ...it's on my "to do" list. I swear!

So that's my update on life...and I hope to keep up with this a little more often now that work seems to be slowing down a little bit. I should be weened back to 42-45 hours here soon and then I can actually function as a normal person!

I have some great recipes I want to post as well...so perhaps I'll get on that in the next day or so!
